Manly Palmer Hall was born in 1901 in Peterborough, Canada. He is a renowned Canadian-born explorer and was a prolific author. Manly Palmer Hall was a Canadian-born author, lecturer, astrologer, and mystic who died on August 29, 1990.

His most famous work is The Secret Teachings of All Ages, published in 1928. During his 70-year career, he delivered thousands of lectures, including two at Carnegie Hall, and published more than 150 books.

In 1934, he established The Philosophical Research Society in Los Angeles, which he dedicated to the “Truth Seekers of All Time,” and which included a research library, lecture hall, and publishing house. Many of his lectures are available online, and his books are still available.

He graduated from the Western University in London, Ontario, then the University of California, Berkley, and finally stands out as a notable Freemason. He published a series of books on the occult sciences, including The Secret Teachings of All Ages.

He wrote over 84 books on subjects such as philosophy, religion, metaphysics, astrology, and Masonry. He authored The Ladder of Lights: A History of the Greater Mysteries which deals with mysticism, occult science, and Rosicrucianism.

Hall grew up in a Christian family and spent his time exploring the library of the Mormon church. After inheriting a collection of occult books from his uncle, Hall remained fascinated with topics about supernatural and natural phenomena.

Hall attended the University of Utah and then Stanford University. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he studied law at the University of California.
